This first entry was found along Highway 41 South in Western Fresno, County in California. It is clear the machine will never be too old to display "Old Glory" for all passers by. To the owner, Thank you for reminding us where we live and who we are.

As you travel North on Highway 41 from Fresno, California shortly after you cross the San Juaquin River, you will see this Shop Building supporting our troops. Thank you for this display.

My friend and Christian Brother, Fritz proudly wears his allegiance whenever he has the opportunity. A construction worker and All American Fritz is a citizen anyone would like to know.

Todd Heisler The Rocky Mountain News
The night before the burial of her husband's body, Katherine Cathey refused to leave the casket, asking to sleep next to his body for the last time. The Marines made a bed for her, tucking in the sheets below the flag. Before she fell asleep, she opened her laptop computer and played songs that reminded her of 'Cat,' and one of the Marines asked if she wanted them to continue standing watch as she slept. "I think it would be kind of nice if you kept doing it," she said. "I think that's what he would have wanted."

Last week, while traveling to Chicago on business, I noticed a Marine sergeant traveling with a folded flag, but did not put two and two together.  After we boarded our flight, I turned to the sergeant, who'd been invited to sit in First Class (across from me), and inquired if he was heading home.
No, he responded.
Heading out I asked? No.
I'm escorting a soldier home. Going to pick him up? No.He is with me right now. He was killed in Iraq . I'm taking him home to his family. The realization of what he had been asked to do hit me like a punch to the gut. It was an honor for him. He told me that, although he didn't know the soldier, he had delivered the news of his passing to the soldier's family and felt as if he knew them after many conversations in so few days. I turned back to him, extended my hand, and said, Thank you. Thank you for doing what you do so my family and I can do what we do.

Upon landing in Chicago the pilot stopped short of the gate and made the following announcement over the intercom.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to note that we have had the honor of having Sergeant Steeley of the United States Marine Corps join us on t his flight. He is escorting a fallen comrade back home to his family.   I ask that you please remain in your seats when we open the forward door to allow Sergeant Steeley to deplane and receive his fellow soldier.   We will then turn off the seat belt sign."

Without a sound, all went as requested. I noticed the sergeant saluting the casket as it was brought off the plane, and his action made me realize that I am proud to be an American.

So here's a public Thank You to our military Men and Women for what you do so we can live the way we do.
Signed:  Stuart Margel -- Washington , D.C.

This unique photograph of the flag flying over the Arizona National Monument in Hawaii was submitted by Photographer

Mike Knepper of Fresno, California.

I received it yesterday December 7, 2006. Does that date ring a bell for you? We used to celebrate it as "Pearl Harbor Day".

Thank you Mike.

Marine Sgt. Brian Reid submitted this photo from Iraq. Working in Ordanance he built bombs that were dropped to flush out Terrorists and free the people from their Tyrant Governments.

Thank you Sgt. for all your effort.

I would like to introduce to you "Ty." We met him at the Costco Food Court near where we live. He made no bones about what he liked to eat and had no problem displaying his partiotism.

Thank you young TY for helping us remember that Pizza isn't the only great reason we live in America.

God Bless You

   Tony Blair's comment . . .

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity,

we should remember  England's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by
one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America, he said:

"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many
want in... And how many want out."  Only two defining forces have
ever offered to die for you:

        1.  Jesus Christ
        2.  The American G. I.

One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Please send me your pictures and/or stories. I would like to show this country and others around the world just how much Patriotism exists in this country. Our enemies will never be able to destroy our unity!

Enjoy your stay here and return often to see what's new.

Please no anti-American or racial content. No anti-war or anti-President content. As Americans we should support our Commander and Chief regardless of how we voted or how the votes were counted. I say "Shame on you," who don't support our troops fighting to preserve freedom and democracy and defend our great nation after 911. "We shall never forget!" Just as I support your freedom to speak about anything you believe, I have the freedom to not publish anything I do not believe in. This page is FOR the great Red White and Blue.

By sending in submissions you are accepting the responsibility of ownership and/or rights to use the image(s). If you aren't sure don't send it. I don't sell or use the images for any purpose other than display here. Therefore if I have seen your display publically presented I assume it is meant for the public so therefore, I believe permission has been granted to present it here.
